Dr. Alberto Hahn’s presentation of his paper “Analyst’s State of Mind and the Growth in the Psychoanalytic Process”

This event is part of the opening of the new academic year of the Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy ran by the SPP.
In his paper Dr. Hahn focuses on the internal world of the analysand explores the more intricate difficulties built into our work with our patients. To do this he examines the role and function of intuition in receptivity and understanding as well as the transformation of unconscious knowledge into interpretations. The choice of the language of interpretations and the sensitivity that leads to a truthful exchange with the patient carries the transference forward and allows a growth process to evolve in the analytic relationship.
Dr. Hahn also discusses what happens when there is a failure to use our intuition in the creation of intimacy and some of the technical errors that are frequently met in our practice.
Dr. Alberto Hahn is a fellow of the BPI, a training analyst at the Tavistock Clinic, London, teaches in various countries like UK, USA, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria, France, Chile.
